Wonderful Windows

Join us in creating Wonderful Window art this February.

Awen Cultural Trust is asking people to decorate their windows during half term to help create a community gallery, using the theme ‘Inspiring Wales’.

To help you create your window art, material packs can be purchased for just £2.50 (contents worth over £8) and include: 5 x A2 black sugar paper sheets, sticky tape, glue, chalk, and coloured tissue paper.

Just add creativity and some of your time to be part of our online gallery.

Packs are available while stocks last from the following locations (from 15 to 25 February)

• Monday 20 February, 2.30pm – 4.30pm and 6.30pm – 8.30pm
• Tuesday 21 February, 2.30pm – 4.30pm and 6pm  - 8.30pm
• Wednesday 22 February, 2.30pm – 4.30pm

Porthcawl Library

• Monday 20 February, 10am – 4pm (1pm – 2pm lunch)

Aberkenfig Library

• Tuesday 21 February, 10am – 4pm (1pm-2pm lunch)

If you want a bit more help with your window art, come and join talented local artist Claire Hiett at Maesteg Council offices for our Make a Wonderful Window Display workshop. Suitable for ages four and over, with adult supervision, places are just £2.50 and sessions run as follows:

• Monday 21 February, 2.30pm  - 4.30pm, 6pm – 8pm
• Tuesday 22 February, 11am – 1pm and 2pm – 4pm
• Thursday 24 February, 2.30pm – 4.30pm, 6pm – 8pm
