Ogwr History Month Children’s Workshop: Victorians (Porthcawl Library)

In our Victorian Wales workshop we teach about the life of the people of the time, the differences between the rich and poor, and about the different inventions from that era! 

Victorian Wales Workshop is a hands-on workshop! We discuss life in the era through showing items, and getting the children to hold and see them up close! 

We have a dress up session at the end, as well as watching a video and asking questions! 

The activities we do include: 

– Writing on slate 

– Playing games invented in the era 

– ‘Washing’ clothes with doli/tub/mangle/wash board

Only children require a ticket.
