Free Music in the Atrium with Rebecca Hurn (Maesteg Town Hall)

This is a free event at the Maesteg Town Hall atrium. There’s no need to book, just turn up and enjoy!

Rebecca Hurn is a global award winning folk/pop singer-songwriter from South Wales. Rebecca’s music is a unique blend of folk, pop and country, all entwined together to create her distinctive sound, with her debut album ‘brace for impact’ debuting at number 28 in the global singer-songwriter charts. Rebecca was the only unsigned artist to headline one of the major six festivals in the UK, The Isle Of Wight festival, in 2021.

Awards include ‘Best UK Songwriter 2022’ at the UK Songwriters Awards, in partnership with The Brits; ‘Best Song’ for ‘Waves’ at Cardiff Music Awards; and ‘Best Folk Songwriter’ in New York City’s Independent Music Awards. Rebecca is only one of two UK artists to be awarded this, the other being Passenger with ‘Let Her Go’. Rebecca has recently completed her first 10 date UK tour, supporting fellow Welsh artist Cara Hammond on her debut UK tour, selling out London and Wrexham. Her two most recent headline shows in her hometown city, Cardiff, were also completely sold out.

Rebecca’s success is portrayed in her frequent radio plays across BBC platforms such as Radio 2 and 6, with frequent Radio Wales BBC A-List Playlists, where she was described as ‘a national treasure’ (BBC Introducing, Adam Walton).
