Heritage Tour: National Lottery Open Week Event

Awen Cultural Trust will be taking part in National Lottery Open Week with an offer of a free special tour of Maesteg Town Hall. With thanks to several funders, including the National Lottery Heritage Trust, Maesteg Town Hall was redeveloped and reopened in November 2024.

Please note: A showing of one National Lottery ticket, scratchcard, or Instant Win Game will give access to 2 people on the day. Proof of purchase of a National Lottery game can be either a hard copy ticket or digital.

On this tour you will hear more about the history of Maesteg Town Hall and how the latest redevelopment safeguarded the historic building and its period features, whilst adding a new extension and facilities. You will also see and learn more about our restored Christopher Williams painting collection , and access the stage to see the Town Hall from the view of our performers.

The tour with our Heritage Manager will take place on Wednesday 11th March at 2pm.

Booking in advance via the Maesteg Town Hall box office website is essential, as tour places are limited. We look forward to welcoming you!
