“You guys (Metallica Reloaded) are the ultimate sign of musical respect” – James Hetfield via Instagram in 2013.
Metallica Reloaded are the UK’s Number One and longest active Metallica tribute band, delivering the power, intensity and authenticity of a full Metallica live show.
Formed in Bristol in 2010, the band brings together four highly experienced musicians (over 70 years experience combined) with a genuine passion for Metallica and the ability to recreate the sound, look and atmosphere of the real thing. Their set spans Metallica’s career from the raw aggression of Kill ’Em All (1981), all the way through to 72 Seasons (2023) with hits and deep cuts from every album in between.
At the heart of the show are Wayne (Hetfield) on vocals and guitar, Daz (Hammet) on lead guitar, Jay (Burton/Newstead/Trujillo) on bass and Chris (Ulrich) on drums. Together they combine precision, power, technical ability and the sheer energy that Metallica’s music demands.
The band also takes authenticity seriously when it comes to equipment, using Hetfield & Hammet signature ESP/LTD guitars equipped with EMG pickups. Axe-Fx III amplifiers along with a Rickenbacker Bass and a Lars Ulrich signature double bass Tama Drumkit.
Metallica Reloaded have built their reputation through high-energy live performances at clubs, theatres, pavilions, festivals and major rock events sharing bills with some of the UK’s leading tribute acts and appearing at venues across the UK and Europe.
This isn’t a band simply playing Metallica songs.
It’s a professional, full-throttle Metallica experience — from the opening riff to the final encore, with the guitars, drums, bass, vocals and sheer passion combining to capture what makes Metallica one of the greatest live Rock/Metal bands of all time.
Metallica Reloaded have also been regulars on BBC Radio with OJ Borg (Metallica themed Midnight Mastermind 2019 & 2021) Naga Munchetty (speaking about The Black Album turning 30 years old and getting back on the road after lockdown) and more recently on BBC Radio Wales speaking about Metallica playing Cardiff for the first time since 1996.
