Parade – The Wheel – Community Cast Workshop (Carnegie House)

Please note: these workshops will be held at Carnegie House, Bridgend Town Centre.

Join us in making an outdoor arts performance in Bridgend town centre and take part in the spectacular that is Parade – The Wheel.

Parade is a moving performance inspired by the beauty and power of people from different walks of life coming together on a choreographed procession. It features a 12-foot tall Giant Wheel powered by five performers in circus and street theatre.

Sign up to take part in our inclusive and fun movement workshop to learn and co-create the group movements that you will perform as part of the live show right here in your own neighbourhood.

Parade’s activities are suitable for children (6+), young people, their families, adults and older members of the community to join and form a unique and intergenerational cast that will join the Parade on show day!

Two experienced dance artists and community coordinators will deliver the movement workshops in physical theatre, storytelling, and procession choreography. They will engage the participants and the local groups with their own stories and support the co-creation of a full movement of the procession.

The performances are on Saturday 27 July @ 1pm and 4pm.
