Roald Dahl Day: James and The Giant Peach
Born in Wales in 1916, Roald Dahl led a full and fascinating life before becoming one of the best-known and best-selling authors of the 20th century.
Every year Wales celebrates with the world his birthday, September 13th, in honor of his life and work, we are hosting a cinema double bill and creative wellbeing day at the Grand Pavilion from 10am Sunday 1st October. Cinema, Arts & crafts, musical numbers, costumes, readings in the Oriel Bar and themed food will all be on offer for you to enjoy the wonderful world of Roald Dahl.
The cinema double bill starts with the original 'James and the Giant Peach' Film in the Main Hall at 10.30 and after a break for lunch and a chance to meet the libraries in the Oriel bar to enjoy the work on and off the screen, the day continues with the wonderful showing of the 1990 cult classic 'The Witches' Film in the Main Hall at 14.00.
