Awen Tech: Lighting

Introducing Awen Tech.

A brand new, FREE short course led by industry professionals, which will equip you with the hands-on skills and knowledge needed to build a successful career working behind-the-scenes on live events, stage performances and location-based productions.

The creative, vocational skills-based training is available for anyone aged 16 and over, living in Blaenau Gwent. The evening course runs in short blocks – you can choose to sign up for one, more or all of the modules. No previous experience required.

Lighting: starting 2 October 2023 (every Monday for four weeks). Work alongside our professional technicians to learn everything you need to know about lighting, from rigging and design, to programming and desk work. Perfect for anyone looking to work in theatre or event-based environments; you’ll even get to put your new skills to practice on professional shows! Sign up for these FREE short courses to access practical, vocational experience in all areas of live event management and set yourself on the road to a career as a technician, or perfect the skills needed to support community events and performances.
