Awen Tech: Sound

Introducing Awen Tech.

A brand new, FREE short course led by industry professionals, which will equip you with the hands-on skills and knowledge needed to build a successful career working behind-the-scenes on live events, stage performances and location-based productions.

The creative, vocational skills-based training is available for anyone aged 16 and over, living in Blaenau Gwent. The evening course runs in short blocks – you can choose to sign up for one, more or all of the modules. No previous experience required.

Sound: starting 6 November 2023 (every Monday for four weeks), our professional technicians will take you through everything you need to know about setting up and running high quality sound for live music and theatre events, including setting up a variety of different mics and speakers, understanding PA systems, using a sound desk for flow and mixing live sound.
