Awen Tech: Technical Knowhow

Introducing Awen Tech.

A brand new, FREE short course led by industry professionals, which will equip you with the hands-on skills and knowledge needed to build a successful career working behind-the-scenes on live events, stage performances and location-based productions.

The creative, vocational skills-based training is available for anyone aged 16 and over, living in Blaenau Gwent. The evening course runs in short blocks – you can choose to sign up for one, more or all of the modules. No previous experience required.

Technical Knowhow: starting 19 February 2024 (every Monday for five weeks), enhance your technical theatre knowledge with special guest speakers on topics including sound for musicals, building virtual world LX, practical sessions on PAT testing and theatre electrics and a behind the scenes visit to a large professional working theatre.
