Met Cinema Club: Asteroid City (12A)

A recently bereaved family hole up at a desert backwater in this surreal and whimsical tale. It is not aimed at children, but the adult themes within, such as suicide and domestic abuse, are tackled in an undetailed manner. The itinerary of a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention (organized to bring together students and parents from across the country for fellowship and scholarly competition) is spectacularly disrupted by world-changing events.
