Ask the Explorer - Awel y Môr - Bridgend Children's Literature Festival 2024

What would you do if you met a deadly snake? Can you hold your breath long enough to catch a fish from the bottom of the sea? What’s the most dangerous animal in the jungle? In Ask The Explorer, real-life jungle adventurer, author and BBC presenter, Will Millard, will take you with him onto an expedition into the unknown!

We will learn all about secret forest wildlife, how explorers survive the jungle, and meet some of the amazing people who live in these places every day! Will specialises in telling stories about extraordinary humans and animals for both adults and children. He has a series of nature books for early readers with Magic Cat including: In the Pond, In the Tree, In the Garden, and In The Rockpool. This hands-on workshop is filled with images from his life’s work and show-and-tell will include: jungle packrafts and hammocks, tribal shields, bows, hand-made footballs, instruments, and wood carvings collected from the forest!

Age Guidance:  4-15 years
