Siôn Tomos Owen grew up in the Rhondda Fawr. He studied Art Foundation and Illustration at Glamorgan Centre for Art, Design and Technology specialising in

Illustration before studying for a degree in Creative Writing and Media Studies at Trinity College, Carmarthen. He is a bilingual television and radio presenter, author of poetry, children's books and books for Welsh learners as well as a caricaturist and illustrator Sion runs creative workshops, creates murals, commissioned artworks and caricatures through his company CreaSion.

He lives in Treorchy, Rhonda Fawr with his wife and two daughters.
