Jonny Bruce Organ Quartet

Bristol based Jonny Bruce is one of the most in demand trumpet players on the scene today. Working as both a soloist and a lead player in a variety of musical contexts, Jonny has received much critical acclaim for his fiery trumpet work. He is fluent in the whole history of jazz trumpet as he demonstrated some years back in his Trumpet Kings project, in which he covered pieces from Louis Armstrong to Freddie Hubbard. He’s a featured soloist with Bristol band Moscow Drug Club, as well as maintaining a busy freelance career.

From Bobby Shew, Fred Wesley and Pee Wee Ellis to Kelis and Illa J, his trumpet has seen him perform at venues and festivals across the world with many greats from a variety of genres. Aside from his big band and small group work, he is a passionate educator, the Musical Director of the Bristol Community Big Band, and his trumpet has recently been featured on the BBC drama series The Outlaws.
