Presentation and Confidence Building Workshops - What Makes for a Powerful Talk?

Nick Morgan author of Power Clues states that “Facts and figures and all the rational things that we think are important in the business world actually don’t stick in our minds at all. But stories create ‘sticky’ memories by attaching emotions to things that happen. That means that leaders who can create and share good stories have a powerful advantage over others.”

In this workshop we will look at how facts and figures can be important for rooting our talks in reality, but it is the emotional hook that grasps the attention of our audience. Attendees will think about how they can add emotional depth to their own life stories and to their big ideas.

We will also have a zoom call with Justine Scott-Gray (Justine Scott-Gray Msc, MCIPD - Leadership Team - RWE Global Womens Network - RWE | LinkedIn) who is a speaking coach who has come on board to support TEDxNantymoel in a voluntary capacity, who will offer her insights and advice
